1. Investigator's Name Arin K. Greene, MD, MMSc
Project Title Determining the Mechanism for the Enlargement of Vascular Anomalies
Brief Description We study vascular anomalies, a group of lesions that affect the vasculature of children. We are investigating the reasons why these lesions enlarge over time so that we can develop drugs treatments. Specifically, we are studying the role of pubertal hormones in their expansion as well determining the causative mutations for these lesions. We are creating in-vitro assays and animal models to be able to test different types of pharmacotherapy.
